I have a long background in corporate work but had always wanted to be in the beauty business. I had always wanted to do hair.

When I was diagnosed at 38 with stage 3, grade 3 breast cancer, it seemed like the end for me. It was while I was sick, however, that I realized it was just the beginning.

While I was sick, I decided that – should I survive this illness – I’ll “go for it”. 6 weeks after my final reconstruction, I had my first day of beauty school.

Now? I’m licensed and get to help ladies feel like their best selves. I can use my experience with cancer and couple that with my knowledge to help other women enduring cancer. It has been a real joy to be able to help others feel like themselves and to help those with cancer navigate the waters they’re sailing.
