How do I summarize my daughter in a few paragraphs. I’m not sure that’s possible, I hope what I share will give you a glimpse of how amazing she was.

Sydney was 12 when she was diagnosed with non-hodgkin’s lymphoma, specifically burkitts lymphoma. As you can imagine, it was a complete shock.

I don’t want to focus on the negative, I think Sydney’s life was so much more than her 5 months fighting cancer. So, what I will tell you is Sydney was smart, feisty, and fearless. She loved being outdoors, hanging out with her friends and family. I’m pretty sure she packed about 80 years into her 13 years of life.

As parents, my husband and I couldn’t be more proud of our children. As we carry the pain of losing Sydney to cancer, we also try to carry her beautiful spirit and her strong belief in herself. We find our strength through her courageous battle and unconditional love, she taught us so much.

We hope to raise awareness about harsh treatments and their side effects.
